1. Please implement a setting that allows you to view a new instant message on the lock screen for iphone but WITHOUT previewing the message. (perhaps just display the senders name only) Some of my friends use foul language and I don’t want my children seeing inappropriate words come across my screen. I use the lock feature for a reason and would like the contents of my instant messages to be kept private until I actually access them.

2. How can I set it back to the old version. I loved the US version of Yahoo insider with the little pictures and the headline beneath. I don’t want this and I don’t like it.

5. If I wanted to read depressing Romanian news I could buy a newspaper or look for them online…there must be a way to change it back, I am sure there are many like me who want the same so at least give us the chance to choose.

10. i just wanted to thank yahoo messnger team for working hard on makin a great messnger …But please consentrate more on security not the news or integratin messnger with yahoo profiles none of that is important now to me i only txt/chat and sometimes video chat i dont go around askin people to read my online profile heck i wish i could permently delete it cuz i have no use for it the yahoo profiles should be an add on for people that dont care about security or care about privacy please fix that major problem asap also the facebook and other social site crap is the same add ons if poeple want it you know only teenages who dont know how to protect themselfs online

11. please consentrate on securty not bringin news to romania also yahoo profiles face book an any other social site crap should be an add on not integrated with the messnger bad for security let teens who dont know/care about security use that stuff dont force it on people who dont want it

I can’t see incoming messages in firefox 9 anymore. the title flashes but when no window pops up like before, so I went to the other way where it shows in a docked tab — the tab just won’t open completely; it shows but it blank and the loading icon keeps doing its thing.. actually I think the first problems started before I updated to firefox 9 (from 8) so I have no idea why your app is broken. Good luck with that though.

13. Please make Y Messenger accept not just one single Twitter, Facebook, Flickr etc. account, but several if needed. Some users have multiple social media accounts and only one Messenger ID.

    Plus, beware Yahoo! Windows Live is getting even more social integrated! It’s linking networks like LinkedIn, YouTube, MySpace, WordPress, Blogger, RSS feeds, so you get all updates of these. Yahoo Messenger only has Twitter, Facebook and that’s it.

    It would be best if we could have the choice of linking how many accounts we want from the most important social networking and blogging services (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Flickr, Blogger, WordPress, RSS, YouTube and such) and be able to get instant updates from our friends on these services (not on a specific time schedule, as it happens now).

20. The new version of Yahoo Messenger actually hurts Romanians more than it helps them. The keys combinations for the ș and ț Romanian characters are now shortcuts for “Separate from Tabs” and “Tab Preferences” (Alt Gr + S and Alt Gr + T), meaning one can no longer properly IM in his native language. I’ve already “Reported a Problem to Yahoo!” and there are comments on this issue in the announcement blog post for v11.5 as well, but nothing seems to be done in this regard.

27. i want my older version back or i will have to switch to another too hard to understand as i am 65 and struggling with all this new stuff it went down i had to fix this computer and now it is gone and i cannot take it i am disabled and it was all i knew to keep in touch with family and friends Thanks for understanding and God Bless Cindy

45. news articles posted on yahoo and tied to facebook will not allow decenting opinions. whenever i have an opinion other than the thread of the article that i wish to comment on, i find myself in an mindless roundrobin of posting choices – facebook,yahoo,aol,ect. i have experimentede with reversing my statement to conform with the author’s story and have been miraculacy accepted. how odd, ihought, that the republicans have control over the supposedly independant opinions of the people. yahoo should dump facebook without delay.
