  1. In general I would like you guys to TRIM this thing down instead of adding features. IM is a commodity. I like the UI and emoticons but as soon as a viable light weight alternative is out I will dump it.

  2. Are these features in the WIndows version already, or features you are asking if we would like?

If they are feature already in a windows version, then having ANY update to the make feature set would be nice!! But if you are asking I would say Full Screen (with a PIP window).

And I will pick in the poll (if you are asking)

But PLEASE give the mac users something new!!

  3. I just have to make one more comment, sorry…
since the other poll is closed where you were nominated Best Mac IM, Yahoo Messenger ??

I have to say, as a Mac, and Yahoo Mac user, I feel like a 3rd class citizen when it comes to your IM. I can Basically chat with others using yahoo (but I can do that from other clients as well) but when people want to send me things they ALWAYS default to PhotoShare, and I never even get notified that they are trying. which frustrates us on BOTH ends of the convo!

Sarah, as Product Manager, are you at least able to tell us if you are working on upgrades for the Mac users, or should I just not waste my time and drop using the client completely? If I know you are at least working on it, I will be patient and wait.

  4. @Gibby264 – Yes, these features are already in the Windows version of Yahoo! Messenger 10’s video call feature.

  6. I am fairly new to Yahoo Messenger & I was wondering is there a way to record the video portion of a video call on Messenger? I know how to keep and preserve the typed conversation, but I would like to keep the voice & video part as well, please help me. Thanks.

  7. @Alan Kero – We don’t have a way within Yahoo! Messenger to record video calls. And I have not heard of any third party programs that would do this. Sorry I can’t be of more help,

  10. How about none? How about “what features would you like to be added to yahoo messenger”?

When will we see a continuation of the Y!Messnger for vista? Or for Windows 7 thereof?

I really hate to be stuck with the same messenger for almost 6 years now (since I started having an Internet connection).

Please, Yahoo, come with something new, not with something recycled
