Best in Chat rooms? Seriously? With the way Yahoo’s chatrooms overflow with bots like a backed up sewerage drain? You must be joking.
As for Best Mac IM, Yahoo Messenger is a seriously poor competitor to Adium, in terms of both features and user interface design.

Some negative things about Yahoo Messenger Chat Rooms:
1. Yahoo Chat rooms are filled with bots.
2. Why is there the option of Font Size 32? It is only used by spammers and advertisers. Visually Impaired people can use Ctrl and +.
3. Font size upto 15 or 18 is more than enough.
4. People still boot in Yahoo Chat Rooms and people use bots to lock rooms.
5. You have not linked the new Yahoo Profiles with Yahoo Chat. So people are not able to edit nicknames.
I will vote next time. Since i see that Yahoo Chat Rooms are going downhill there is no point in voting for it this time.

The only thing I like about Y!M 10 is the video call feature. I mean, if you guys would start working on a new kind of Y!M, similar to what the Y!M for Vista was, with the interface and all the other cool stuff, yes, I would definetly vote you. Until then…

There was a time that Yahoo chat was incredible. Now….it’s horrible. What are you guys going to do? I love Yahoo. Love your services. Can not abide the chatrooms, especially when they used to be so good. Now you can’t get into them because they’re full of bots. Give us back the userrooms!

i have been using various messengers since year 2000. Yahoo is the best overall messenger I have ever used. The best features i like in yahoo is its unbeatable emotion icons and the chat rooms .. regarding boting out and the wrong things on the chat rooms , i think it is the users who has to be mroe sensible in using the beautiful opportunity yahoo provides in its chat rooms.
I have met my girl friend online and the emotion icons have helped me a long way in expressing my true emotions to her, more than any other messenger. Also thanks for yahoo, i got many good friends all over the globe.
However, there are lot of improvements to be done in the software to make it better usable. But i hope the company is constantly workign on its improvement and i believe that yahoo will rise up to the expectations.
I certainly would recommend yahoo as the best messenger i have ever used till now.

Yahoo! & i have strong intimate connection..
i’m using internet from 67 months & 16 days but i’ve never used any messenger which is even close to Yahoo! in terms of user’s conviniency & facilities..
For example i’ve used MXit, mig33, MSN, Gtalk for months but my journey met an end the day i registered my account in Yahoo! Messenger..
Best things about yahoo are,
a) Skins (we need more)
b) Fonts of all sizes & colour veriations
c) Emoticons (we need more in chatrooms)
d) Chat Rooms
e) Invisible Mode
f) Offline messages
g) Plug ins such as : YEmotePlus, WebEx Co-Browse, Zync Video Sharing
h) IMvironments
i) Photo Sharing
j) free video & voice calling
k) Avatars
l) ignore user (Best Option)
m) Send File
n) Voice facility in chatrooms
But there are many worst things about Yahoo! as well e.g.
a) Booters
b) Robotic Advertisements
c) Advertisements in chatrooms
d) Account Hackers (they scare us by warnings)
e) Less emoticons in chat rooms compared to Yahaven! & Y!Supra
f) No colour background in chat rooms
g) Mic locker softwares (VC)
Yahoo! must protect it’s users from next time when it lauches Version 11.
Otherwise it’s the best Messenger in entire history of Softwares or else we wouldn’t have been spending upto 7 hours in Yahoo! in day-to-day life.
i give it 8.5 out of 10

Yeah, it’s great!! How i put it in the corner of the screen and when it start, it chooses to start on the center, it’s great when u try to send files (small ones) and gives u a nice, big, transfer error and a lot others. Yeah, i vote it in 5 YEARS!!!!!

I use Yahoo! Messenger as my default IM client. Still… I’m not satisfied. Video Call hangs my PC and the image gets scrambled or i get low quality image. Resets the webcam too many times. I have no idea about chat rooms. Haven’t used them since version 8 was “new” at that time. Emoticons rock! I want to disable skinning. Uses too much of system resources.
But… nice work though. Thank you Yahoo!!

I love the emoticons and the interactive environments, but yahoo chat? I stay a mile from it, because of the bots lurking everywhere. About voice chatting, I’d give it 2/5 stars because line is always breaking up. It couldn’t be my connection because when I use MSN, the line is fine. The thing I like the most about YM, however is that I can sign up thru my mobile even without the apps ( I just sign in using my provider) and I can get messages just fine. I’ll stick with yahoo because it’s my primary means of connection on the net…

Some negative things about Yahoo Messenger Chat Rooms:
1. Yahoo Chat rooms are filled with bots.
2. Why is there the option of Font Size 32? It is only used by spammers and advertisers. Visually Impaired people can use Ctrl and +.
3. Font size upto 15 or 18 is more than enough.
4. People still boot in Yahoo Chat Rooms and people use bots to lock rooms.
5. You have not linked the new Yahoo Profiles with Yahoo Chat. So people are not able to edit nicknames.

I started using yahoo in early 2000, its been almost 10 years I am having the same id.. I saw other services tried to overtake chat services, no one even came closed to yahoo. I have seen how yahoo changed, made really good friends and yes most of all, I enjoyed its very user friendly service.
this new Yahoo 10 Rocks !!!
I wish yahoo could upgrade their service more better and provide some features like “share screen”, or “language translation”.. they can even make some integrated software that can record YM to YM calls.
I am fan of yahoo pool.

my god best chat rooms lol…i agree best if you are looking for bots…booters and arabs/middle eastern guys looking for women and kids for sex..then its the best by far!! yahoo is the biggest joke by far out off all the messenger services.captcha is a huge failure..messenger has more exploited holes then swiss cheese..pure joke to even considerd being nominated.
