In re: to SMS messages sent through via YM counting as”data” and not as texts – Does the phone # to which the SMS text is being sent show up in ANY billing detail or are the “receivers” of the messages completely anonymous except to the sender when sending?

if you have ignore people not on your contacts “yes”, can those people still see that you are on line? i had someone add me as a contact, then refused to let me add them, and i would really like to make it so they can’t see me.

@clavicle44 – SMS messages sent through the Yahoo! Messenger for iPhone app are counted as data, not as text messages under your plan.

what about text msg billing ?

Are yahoo messenegr messages counted as data or txt msgs?

@raist – Right now the iPhone version does not offer per contact stealth settings. You can only be available to everyone, or invisible to everyone. Thanks,

Hi,

Just wanted to ask if there’s a way to specify stealth settings for specific contacts?
What I mean is a feature similar to the desktop YM client, wherein a person signed-in as Invisible and selectively choose to appear only for some of their contacts.

Push notifications have been inconsistent over the past few days. System issue or software problem? Also experiencing more than normal “Message Failed to Send” errors in the past day or so?

Seems a few others here are experiencing the same?

Hey, Love the new 1.3 version

Though it gives me an alert to “Connect to iTunes for allowing PUSH NOTIFICATIONS” , used to work fine on previous versions of this app.

I really like the update. Yahoo! Messenger is one of the most used apps on my iPhone. Thanks for all the hard work.

There are a few feature requests that I think would make this into a 5-star app.

1. I would like the ability to Select and Copy text from the text bubbles.
2. I would like the ability to change the colors of the text bubbles, because I would like to use the same color scheme that the Messages app uses.
3. The date and time stamp should be from when the (offline) message is sent, instead of when it arrives.
4. It would be useful to have typing notifications registered from the app to the network. It would also be useful to have an icon that displayed when the other person was typing.
