Since having this computer, and windows vista came already preinstalled, the only problem encountered was windows crashing sometimes, but I’ve gotten accostomed to it, don,t know any other OS. And haven’t had any problems with my website or yahoo messenger. I guess I got lucky. And up till now only had one plug in.CBS radio. now I have 2, yahoo 360, or the new version, since they(yahoo) updated it. I just used it, I’m happy.

For me, it is still the best messenger ever.

I use YIM for IMing, which i raely sign into anymore. The chat rooms are garbage. yahoo probably has figured out its cheap to here the constant complaints about the bots which i am convinced they tell the advertisers which rooms are most often full, just not that 99% of those are bots.only chat i use is Paltalk, well worth the $59.95 a year.

Thanks for the response. It’s pretty lame though, don’t you think? It still pops up the first time a message comes in and you have to minimise it yourself and while it does at least then stay minimised, it gives you zero feedback when new messages arrive.

Why the hell doesn’t *anyone* from Yahoo! ever answer any bloody questions??

I use it anywhere but mostly at home. I use webmessenger when i am on other’s house who does not have messenger. I use YM at work. I access Ym using my mobile (wAP).

There is an option in Yahoo! Messenger to appear message windows in background or MINIMIZED. This option will not pop the new messsage windows over the top of you what you are currently doing. Take a glimpse on your Yahoo! Messenger Preferences at Messages category. FYI, this is an option in YM 9…. not sure in earlier versions…

Genius. Absolute, frigging, genius.
