Thanks for the update sarah!. I really like version 1.2 so far. I like the buzz feature. Yes, Push is broken but other than that its great. Thanks for the hard work and hopefully we will have push soon.

Is the version 1.2 support the push notification feature?
I’m doubt of it as it never ask for permission using the push notification like other apps that have push feature.

I was read at appshopper.com that the new version 1.2 have push support, but them the iTunes Store description is differ and none information about push notification.

My guess is that someone just screwed it up and submitted the wrong version to Apple. Bad for Yahoo! Apple has a part to play in this mistake too because they should read into the release notes and try push notifications… why nobody noticed this at all?

totally disappointed. not by the fact that push notification is NOT there, but that this big mistake slipped all the way through Yahoo. there must be a problem there.

Is there an ETA for when the fixed version will be resubmitted to Apple?

Hi everyone,

There is a problem with the 1.2 app. We’re going to have to pull it from the store and resubmit to Apple. I’ll post to the blog when the final and working version is out. Thanks

Download the new messenger for iphone with push notification today, but the push function does not work (I am with 3 network in Australia). Is this “push function” network dependant? Does any manage to get the push function to work on the 3 network?
