New Stephen Colbert Avatars support our troops

This week, Comedy Central’s Colbert Report is broadcasting from Baghdad’s Camp Victory in support of U.S. troops serving in Iraq. The top-rated comedy show has teamed up with DonorsChoose.org for their “Support Our Troops” campaign, designed to raise money for public schools and support the children who make great sacrifices of their own while their parents serve our country.
The fundraising drives features a friendly competition among the Armed Forces –- Army, Air Force, Marines, Navy and Coast Guard — to see which branch’s supporters can have the biggest impact on classrooms. As of June 9th, they have raised more than $130,000, and the Army is barely hanging on to the lead (check out the leaderboard as the tension builds in real-time).
To help raise awareness for this effort, Yahoo! Avatars teamed up with Colbert to make some custom Stephen Colbert Avatars and accessories. So go put on your Colbert Avatar gear to show your support for the “Support Our Troops” campaign. You can also donate to the campaign to help fund the classroom projects.
Oh and don’t be fooled by Colbert’s full head of hair in his Avatar pics. In a recent show of solidarity, Stephen Colbert, on President Obama’s order, had his head shaved by show guest General Ray Odierno. Watch the video to see the clippers in action (go to the 4:00 mark for the good stuff):

I am not a little kid.
But when Yahoo!, as a corporation, is failing miserably against all their competition, you’d think they could put their staff to more productive use?
If you don’t agree, it will be a sad day when those staff are looking for jobs because Yahoo! had to make cost cuttings.

Doesn’t Jimbo have anything better to do than troll the Yahoo Messenger Blog with fatuous comments? Are the Yahoo chat rooms down or something?
I have a hunch this blog is comic relief for the Yahoo Messenger team. The blog serves as a place for all the Yahoo chat addicts to congregate and whine about the state of Yahoo chat rooms like it was life support — but in many ways I am sure it is for them.

There is no arguing that troops deserve the respect of their country and they are doing their job, it’s not their choice.
However, the Iraq war was illegal and unnecessary.
wtf, a lot of Yahoo! Chat users are unhappy – they have a right to their say, or do you not agree with free speech. It does tend to be that Americans spout the free speech concept when it suits them, and try to shut people up the rest of the time.

Cmon guys, let me give you one. If Yahoo! Avatar team, put up an apparel for “Dracula”, does it mean they support Dracula? Or a priest? Or Superman? This is clearly for fun and stuff only.
