Dear Yahoo COO:
If is all very simple we want ONLY the Classic Yahoo page; if it isn't broken, why fix it? You've got too many techies with too much time on their hands. Their Beta is not impressive, the Classic format is excellent vehicle for future Yahoo growth. So why change the Classic format and lose so many loyalists such as myself? Don't you respect us? This one time common sense should overrule you technocrats looking for raison e'tre

i think the whole thing is stupid retiring the old versions of yahoo messenger. i mean should it really matter as long as its still called yahoo. no matter what version it is, yall should not retire the old versions. but that's my opinion.

For those of you who (like me) can't afford to drop a grand on a new computer system, but still want to use YIM, here's how:

Try to log in to YIM. It'll just sit there being retarded. WHILE it's just sitting there, log into the web-based messenger. After a few minutes, you'll log into YIM, and get booted from the web-based messenger. Close your browser, and continue using YIM.

See? It still works.

Yahoo, you're a total bitch for doing this. Not offering support for users of older versions is one thing, but cutting them off completely like this? It's inexcusable, and 100% motivated by greed.

**** you, Yahoo.

Freddy, there's even more spam being sent to the users of the official client. Trillian 3.1 is using the old protocols that are going away. There's a patch on the Trillian site that uses the new protocols.

Well, obviously yahoo doesn't appear to care what others think, b/c if they did, they would ask the people what they wanted, instead of assuming. While I do still use a older version of messenger(8.0), I will continue to use that, until I have no other choice but to use 9.0 or even 10.0. I really do hope though that yahoo does reconsider their choices to discontinue older versions of messenger, and brings them back. Only time will tell.

So what is everyone who still runs Windows 98 SE suppose to do. Yahoo keeps ignoring its customers... it is no wonder so many people switching to Google. First you guys mess up your search engine, then drop everyones profiles for a really dumb profile system, change mail so it crashes in Firefox, and now you are dropping everyone with an older computer from im. There are many many people out there still running old computers as netbooks. What is wrong with you people. There needs to be a major in house cleaning at yahoo.
