Sign-in issues in latest version of 9.0

We know that some users are having trouble signing into 9.0 after installing the latest version (9.0.0.2112). The problem typically happens like this: you download and install the latest version but when you go to sign-in, you get an error and are asked to try again later. But even when you try later, the error continues.

If you are experiencing this issue with Yahoo! Messenger 9.0.0.2112 and are seeing an error like the one pictured with this post, we need your help in diagnosing the problem. Ideally, we’d like to hear from users in the U.S. or Canada that have this issue, and that are willing to be contacted by phone. UPDATE: As of 1/29, there is a new update, version 9.0.0.2124, which may help with one or more sign-in issues (but not all). Please download the latest version and try it out.

    Does it is normal that the status changes alone? As soon as I have a disconnection, and that Yahoo Messenger reconnects I’ve a new status.

  6. Sometimes it happens to me, too.
    I close the Yahoo Messenger application and then re-open it and it’s just works.

  7. My problem is exactly as described. I reinstalled the YM, but the problem persists. I tried to run antivirus, but nothing changed. I have created a new ID, but still the same.

    I am in Malaysia.

  8. i hava a problem with signing in yahoo messenger.everytime when i tried to signing in thre will always got a problem even i sign in as a new user.why ah?please settle this problem as soon as possible.i’m in malaysia.

  9. I started getting this after installing and uninstalling some unrelated apps. I did a system restore back to a point prior to those apps and reinstalled Ymsgr, and then the problem went away.

  11. I have an older version of YM but it worked fine until now. I’m havin problems signing in with a particular id in yahoo messenger wich is stange as i can log in via mail. I have tryed entering another id in yahoo messenger and it connects instantly. What seems to be the problem ?

  14. i have this problem for 3 months now…. pls have some solutions to this problem i tried all the proxy settings… uninstall/install a couple of times, reformat my pc…. then nothing happens…

  17. SIGNING IN ISSUE RESOLUTION: YM does NOT like control/special characters in passwords! I had an apostrophe in mine and would get the beloved 81003005 error. But I could log in via the web version with no problem. RESOLUTION: Sign into your Yahoo account and change your password to NOT include special characters. Some may work but I KNOW apostrophe’s do not!

  18. I have the same problem. I redownloaded all different versions, i tried everything, it’s not working. All it says is ‘Error 81003005′ and I can’t seem to get online anymore. At first it was fine, until all of a sudden, it’s all messed up. It seems that there is a lock on my internet connection, although i checked it & says it`s fine. I do not know what to do.

  19. ave got the solution, if you are using the latest version (same as mine) go to messenger at the top of the tool bar, and click on preferences
    wen u check the connection setting u would see a option that asks you if you want to connect directly to the internet.
    that option is selected and that is the problem.
    intstead select the second option which says:
    HTTP Proxy.
    If u select that option and click okay, your problem should be solved. let me know if its not solved.
