7 months with a Friend typing notification which is not working good....
It's really a pity.
It is funny to read back all the post about that notification.
Many people hate its localization.
I agree that it was better before at the bottom of the window ...
But a very few people notice that it has lost its accuracy with this 9.0.0.2112 update.
I have read the answer I sent on this post a few month ago and it is still valid 7 months later!!
PLEASE make this notification working as it was before this update!!!

Yahoo! Messenger 9.0.0.2136 under XP Pro consistently hangs waiting for retrieval of "last message received" time stamp rendering it useless for 15 - 20 seconds at a time. Very very annoying to say the least. Give me back v 8!

Hate the new placement of the "Last message received" and "x is typing a message". Especially as the "Last message received" randomly appears some time afterwards, and makes me think they've just sent me something! It's ridiculous. MOVE IT BACK to the bottom left in the status area below where you type. Seriously, who makes these design decisions? At least give us the option to have it the way we want! Don't just replace things, please! I wonder if I can find the old version before this crap, because this is rubbish.

I hate hate HATE how it says so-and-so is typing a message. Put it back at the bottom!! It would be kind of fun if it said fun things like it does in mail, for example, "Whoever should really learn to type with more than two fingers."
But really, I'd be happy with it being at the bottom again. I like knowing when the last message was sent, and if I sent the last message, the last message notification does not always show up. This update is horrible.

Hello
I want to ask you to change the location for the typing notification message (“XXXX is typing a message”). It was very nice before, when it appeared under the text box. And a thing that bothered me for a long time was the "show messages from background windows at bottom right of screen" option. It is very annoying that everytime I receive a message it appears in the corner. At the beginning, there was a single message that appeared in the corner of the screen (announcing that a new im window appeared on the taskbar) and it was nicer. I think it is useless making it appear everytime your friend writes a line.

Oh, and about the idea with the archive search. I often thought about how nice it would be to have something like that (when I wanted to see something specific in my archive) and it is frustrating when I want to find something in a very big archive and I can't and have to look through it for hours to find what I need. I think that many people would like it if there was an archive!

Hi, the call forward functionality is not working in Yahoo voice. I uninstalled/installed several times also. Yahoo messenger version is 9.0.0.2162. I contacted Yahoo tech support. They have been trying to fix the issue from past one month. It used to work earlier. Suddenly, it stopped working. Has anyone faced this kind of problem? Please help me.
