Now that Yahoo IM only uses the setting from IE and doesn't allow overide, I'm stuck. However, the default proxy server that get assigned does not work with Yahoo IM. I am trying to use this from Iraq. Before the 8.1 worked great, our cams worked great. Now, nothing. I WANT THIS FIXED. I have done every tweak on my end, jumped through every hoop. It is obviously not my fault. So someone needs to get this fixed. I spent an hour on the livechat going through the same goofy steps, uninstall, reinstall, shut down, ect repeat ad infinitum.....nothing. Come on people. FIX IT ALREADY. I'm friendly with my Windows sysadmins, and we've had to set up an NTLM proxy for our linux/unix servers so that they can get automatic system updates without requiring authentication - ie the NTLM proxy has it's own credentials it uses to get through the real proxy, but doesn't request credentials of anything connecting to it. If I setup my Internet Connection (for IE) to use this NTLM proxy, yahoo 9 connects successfully. If I set it to use the normal proxy that requests authentication, connection fails.
