There have been many improvements to Twitter since then but unfortunately we are unable to update our plugin to reflect this. We have had many requests (more so recently) to make modifications to the plugin but the only way to incorporate changes would be to release as a test plugin (a feature designed to be used only for development). It would have been great if they could have included a means for running local plugins before terminating the plugin system. On the developer site (http://developer.yahoo.com/messenger) it still reads --- "ATTENTION: Submission of new Messenger plugins has been temporarily disabled while we make some changes. You cannot submit Messenger plugins to gallery.yahoo.com during this time. Thanks for your patience." --- This message has been for well over a year. Having invested our time and resources into learning the plugin framework and designing new plugin ideas, to have the submission process removed without notice was pretty much the nail in the coffin for us.
