New Yahoo! IDs work on Messenger too

As you may have heard, Yahoo! Mail is offering new domains for email addresses: ymail.com and rocketmail.com. That means a whole new crop of email addresses that may not have been available as a yahoo.com address are now up for grabs.
These new Yahoo! Mail addresses also act as Yahoo! IDs that let you sign in to other services on the Yahoo! network, including Yahoo! Messenger. When you sign into Messenger, just be sure to type in the entire email address (e.g. dairyman88@ymail.com, joeuser@rocketmail.com) into the Yahoo! ID box, followed by your password.
So if you’ve been thinking about getting a new email address and/or Yahoo! ID, head over to Yahoo! Mail and sign up. During registration, click on the drop down menu to select the domain you want to use (yahoo.com, ymail.com, rocketmail.com).

yeh i found out the hard way when trying to log into my yahoo powered isp account it didnt say to add the domain part.

Guess Yahoo! Mail is still doing very well as far as use is concerned. I like the fact you can use these ID’s in Y!Chat as well.

Is this why it’s been almost impossible to sign into messenger these past 2 days?
Seems maybe there’s a bug in messenger since adding these new email options.

Is it even possible to log in to my rocketmail email account?
I’ve also tried logging into yahoo with my rocket address to GET to my rocketmail,- but it’s as if rocketmail never existed.
Does anyone know how to access rocketmail log in? Or do I give up with it. Thank you.
