Yahoo messenger is the oldest usable talking way to the people but now people are stop using that, i didn’t get it if the program made by some non yahoo programmer then does it matter all matter is just yahoo is working and in a good way.

Luta> No, companions aren’t a violation of the TOS, unless they have some kind of login within them. Stuff like eye bots and profile scanners would be against the TOS, since they’re a reproduction of the first party clients. Since no companions have anything like this, they’re not breaking the TOS.

3rd party clients are indeed against the TOS though.

I have the latest version but cannot log into the messenger, is there an outage or is there a system problem. I can get into my email and I can actually get into chat from there. I cant log in straight into messenger though. please assist, thank you!

Personally, I don’t think this blog is the appropriate place to discuss third-party software that uses the Yahoo! Network, be it a messenger companion or a standalone chat client.

It’s not impossible to argue that developing a messenger companion is a violation of the Yahoo Messenger ToS, so raving on about them on a Yahoo blog doesn’t strike me as being a bright idea. It’s like playing with fire and hoping you don’t get burned.

I had heard from a few folks that YMSG16 login code had been developed by some non Yahoo programmers but was not released into the public (yet). If it does come out, all the spam bots, mass iggies, booters will thrive once again even after the mud servers will be removed.

Good work. The AC4 and SP1 data centers I presume? Why is it that cs125, cs126 and cs127 on the MUD servers exist, but they’re not usable?

Also, hope you know there are a couple server issues on all the servers.

1. All servers suffer from a bug where you don’t receive the chat leave packet when the 3 hour limit is up.

2. Some of the voice servers are messed up and not responding. Two of them don’t work, and two more cause a temp voice ban when using them.

Ah yes, so you guys know, Messenger v9.0.0.1389 beta suffers from an extreme bug where no webcam connection (TCP connection) is made to view cams when clicking on a user in the chat room and attempting to view their cam. Cam uploading/broadcasting works fine however.
