I'm running OS10.3.9 so obviously the new verion of yahoo is not for me. However, earlier today, I was chatting with someone who obviously had the newer version and it knocked out my YM as soon as he logged off. I also noticed that my pal list had disappeared while I was talking to him. I can't explain any of this. I tried d/ling the older version, but it won't open. Has he jinxed my computer? Says "This may be due to an internet connection issue on your side, or your friend may not have their microphone connected. This is bizarre. Test call never works. Friends' pc's can't hear me and I can't hear them. I know their system is ok because they regularly receive calls with no issue. Only a problem with me. I always get that error message. BUT, there is one person I can connect to , my brother in SanFran. Oddly, I connect with him but noone else. I mean, shouldn't the test call work? As soon as the "accept" button is clicked the transfer aborts without any further messages. Also: it's nice to see that the facillty to send SMS messages is finally fixed, but it's a nuisance that the replies come back in another window. Also, if I sign out leaving one of those windows open and then sign back in and try to send another message, the SMS window freezes up totally and I have to close it and reopen before I can send anything.
