Grooving with audibles

We got an email in our inbox recently from Bogdan Nasgodineanu, a Yahoo! Messenger user who lives in Constanta, Romania (see pics on Flickr). Bogdan has worked for several years in the Romanian music industry, but recently turned his focus to composing and producing his own music.
Yahoo! Messenger is very popular in Romania and has inspired tributes from users there (check out our post on Darius’ Emoticoncerts). For his homage to Yahoo! Messenger, Bogdan, aka “Mister Boogie” took some of our most popular audibles and mixed them into a pumping club groove.

Bogdan told us “As I try to create my own songs, I am constantly looking for new sources of inspiration, to put a new sound in my music, to distinguish from others and all those songs that sound very much alike.” He used some of his favorite audibles from the “Hello”, “Flirts” and “Goodbyes” category. Be sure to listen to the track to see if you can pick them out.

I’m Romanian too. Yahoo! Messenger really is the most used Instant Messenger in Romania. All my friends have got Yahoo! Messenger. We’d like so much if you would make a Romanian version of Y! Messenger. It would become the ultimate messenger for us. Please make a Romanian version!

Oh, no ! Please don’t translate Yahoo! Messenger in romanian ! Let it be in english so everyone has to learn the language !
When Yahoo! will come in Romania (and I heard it will come soon) I have some sugestions for some new audibles and smileys. You can check my blogpost here http://www.olix.ro/2007/12/23/propuneri-pentru-yahoo-romania/ but it’s in romanian.
Me and my coleague host a show on KissFM Romania and some weeks ago when we heard that Yahoo! will come in Romania we asked the listners what sugestions they have for new audibles and smileys, the answered and I’ve put them on my blog.

ill try to say my objective opinion:)interesting song,its pretty unique and its great!cuz same on same sh…its annoyin already..nice to see that some1 creates smthn different:)) house ya not bad sometimes:) but i cant tell that its sh..:) every music is beautiful in its way.:)almost every:)) i just dont listen it thats all:) heh long time ago i did:) maybe 4years ago.but in that 4 years i was listening everything starting with jazz,rock’n'roll,pop music,blues,house,rap,metal,russian music(damn i hate that russian nonsense now ;P),club music,drum’n'base and hehe at last i found mine one:) and now since last summer im in love with psy/goa trance,ambient chillout,reage..:)

I cannot get my audibles to work, I have uninstalled and reimstalled messenger to the latest version but still they dont work, what is the problem? I see them working on my end but the other person cant see them and they are not in the conversation window.

Hi Paul,
It could be an issue with your version of the Flash player (Audibles run on flash). Try going to the Adobe Flash site and reinstalling:
http://www.adobe.com/go/getflashplayer
Also keep in mind that when you send audibles, your friends on the other end need to be on an audible-compatible version of Yahoo! Messenger. The versions that support audibles are 8.1 and 9.0. So for example if your friend is on the Mac version of Messenger, they will not be able to see the audibles that you send.
