What’s new in Avatar Towns?

Back in November, we told you about a new place you could visit to outfit your digital self: Avatar Towns. The team recently added some new shops and features.
Drop in on the “Pet Pals” store to find just the right animal to hang out with you. The gorilla and iguana are my favorites, but there are plenty of cats and dogs that need a companion too. Want to make sure you look your best out in this virtual world? Head over to the new Ocean Breeze Salon to find just the right hairstyle, bag and bling.
There are also a couple new features, including a day and night version of the town, depending on when you visit. Will you wear your sunglasses at night? 
And when you come across that must-have shirt, pet, or accessory, just add it to your Avatar, then hover your mouse on the item and choose “Add to Favorites”. When you visit the Yahoo! Avatars website in the future, just select the “Favorites” tab near the top of the page to see your stuff.

epic fail: a waste of flash coding imo. If Yahoo is going to compete with the avatar giants such as SecondLife and IMVU, they need to completely abolish the avatar system and start fresh.

Its kinda like a barbie. It doesnt do anything but takes up your time in changing its appearance.

Avatar town should get more sunglasses and a shoe store because not to long ago I just logged off of Avatar town after loking for better sunglasses and At least one pair of shoes

i dont like it there could be way more stuff added to it like malls, food courts, places to feed your pet and play with your pet, parks to take a walk, and maybe cars to drive around. there should be different states and countries in avatar town that you can sight see in. avatar town could be better.
