New call history archive on Yahoo! Voice site

If you make PC-to-Phone calls on Yahoo! Messenger, you’ll love the two new features we’ve added to the Yahoo! Voice website.
A frequent request from our voice users is a complete call history. Good news! Now you can view your entire PC-to-Phone call history on the Yahoo! Voice website. Be sure you’re signed in, then click the “My Call History” link near the top of the page. You can view your calls by month in a list showing all calls, or in lists of just outgoing or incoming calls.
Each call history includes the date and time the call was made, phone number, location, duration of the call, price per minute and total charges. The call history automatically displays your fifty most recent calls; click the page numbers near the top to go further back in your history.
The call history on the Yahoo! Voice site only includes PC-to-Phone calls made through a Phone Out account. To view recent call history for your last three hundred calls, including free PC-to-PC calls, click on the “Contacts” menu in Yahoo! Messenger and select “Call History”.
We also made the auto-recharge option for your Phone Out account more customizable. In the past, the Auto-recharge amount would automatically default to the last amount for the Phone Out purchase that you made. But now you can specify either $10 or $25 as your auto-recharge option. Just visit the Yahoo! Voice site, be sure you’re signed in, then click on the “My Services” link near the top of the page.

In December 2005, we began offering premium voice services in the Windows version of our product. You can use Yahoo! Voice services to make free PC-to-PC calls to other Messenger contacts, or purchase a Phone Out account to call your friends’ mobile or regular phones from Messenger for as low as 1¢ a minute. We also offer
Phone In accounts, allowing you to purchase a phone number which you can use to receive calls right in Yahoo! Messenger. With the recent release of Yahoo! Messenger 9.0 Beta, call forwarding was also introduced, allowing you to forward incoming calls to your Yahoo! Messenger to another phone number, even if you’re signed out.

Okay. about archives of messages..
I found them, but can’t read them unless I am online…silly
path is:
/User/*username*/Library/Application Support/Yahoo! Messenger/Logs/*profilename*/(folders for each converation sorted by buddy)
Okay.. how do I read them
vi can’t
these aren’t DAT files. – like windows version.
Console can’t read them -non standard log files.
what gives??

This is a very old feature I believe and it would be great if yahoo could come with an option where we can also delete the call history from this page. The user should have full right to decide whether to keep the history or not. It should not be forced on them. I really find this feature crap without the option for the user to decide he/she wants to store it or not.

I found my logs in a different location from Voung Pham, mine were buried in:
C:\Users\[windowsusername]\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Yahoo!\Messenger\Profiles\[profilename]\Archive\Messages
Also, the APPDATA directory is hidden by default, so you need to “Show hidden files” in Explorer’s Tool’s->Options menu in order to view this.

Hi Elle,
There is no way to print out the entire call history with one click. You’ll have to print out each month individually and if there are multiple pages per month, each page will have to be printed separately.

To whom it may concern,
Its very not polite this yahoo messeger beta 9 that decided to save all call history without even giving us the user option to delete or not.
Hoping your able to resolve this problem because there is a lot of messeger that is good as this program beta 8 is much better.
As a user of this program Iam really Disappointed

I am going to uninstall msg9 due to the lack of a call log delete feature. Recently someone hacked into my account and called several of the people on my call log pretending to be me. With 100 calls saved in the log, it is a great security lapse. Sorry Yahoo, I am selling my stock in your company as well.

I want the option too to be able to delete my call list. This is stupid to update messenager then not giving us the option to delete or save our calls. I will go and uninstall yahoo 9 and put back yahoo 8.

Yahoo Messenger 9 is crap : takes too long to download, if you start typing faster than all the publicity is downloaded you get an error notice and are kicked out and must restart Yahoo Messenger from the desktop again, first let arrive all the publicity junk that is downloaded through the web and then one can start typing, together with not having a delete button for the call history I can say it is total crap and I will delete it from my comp now.
I will use Skype instead

Every time I log-in to yahoo messenger, the Call History page pops up. How do I stop this? This just started since I downloaded the 9.0.0.2112. I tried going back to other versions of messenger, hoping it would not do that, but now all of them does that. The Call History stll pops up. It’s very annoying. Can someone tell me how to stop this?… Thank you.

I come to believe that that call history is not on your computers i’m almost betting it is on thier servers to keep track of billing info. Every time you sign on to yahoo to the call list it downloads the list for you and displays it. That is why you can’t delete it.

hi guys, i think some of u are afraid your husband or wife will find the call history on your messenger and then u in deep trouble…lol
Anyway, i also think it’s a bit frustrating too to have the call history loading everytime one opens the messenger and would also like to see the delete feature in the future. Please YAHOO these old records will just clog up your server and will cause your server and our systems to run sloooowwwweeer!!
