Take a trip to Avatar Towns

Up for a little field trip? Head over to the new Avatar Towns, a virtual world designed especially for your Avatar fashion needs. Now you can drop in to different stores to find just the right outfit for the virtual you. Cruise by Island Style to find the perfect swimsuit, or jog into Top Score for some sportier attire. And even though Halloween is over, you can still pretend to be someone else after a stop at Costumes ‘R’ Us.
When you arrive in Avatar Towns, be sure to say hello to Jessica and get some directions on where to go. Once you’re in a shop, you’ll be placed on a modeling pedestal while you browse the racks. Click on items that you want to try on and you’ll see them appear on your Avatar. If you don’t like the item once it’s on, click on it again to remove it.
At the bottom of your pedestal are some helpful controls – Redo and Undo arrows, a Save button, plus a button to toggle your background on and off. When you’d done, click the Exit button to return to the main street where you can then head into other stores.
Avatar Towns is in Beta for now, but there are plans to roll out other towns so you can shop ‘til you drop. I just hope they add a spa – my Avatar is going to need somewhere to relax after all this shopping!

we need more plus size clothes for the plus size woman and men who also use messenger. a store for plus size people would be awesome not everyone feels comfortable in bikinis.

I love the idea. It’s great! I agree about the + sizes though. There should be more of a variety on the body styles and such to choose from.

Definatly, Plus sizes PLEASE. I can not wear size 1 or 2 so I do not want my advtar to wear them as well. I am proud to be curvasious and want to display such. I love the new town idea. THANKS!!!

I think you should add games so we can earn money for our avatars, make it a chatting site, and kind of like real life but better. Like we can go to school for a little with other yahoo avatars as students, school faculty and staff, and friends and family. We should also be able to drive cars all around town like to go eat, to school, work, the mall, and to avatar houses. You should also make this a chatting site. With my ideas you can never go wrong. Enjoy!

How do you go to other parts of the town if there is any? I had trouble with that because I thought there would be more parts of the town than just that little part with all the stores.

I think there should be like outdoor sports stores as well, like fishing or hunting, stuff like that….. and even little bait would be so cute lol I’m happy with this for now though, I know yahoo will keep getting better and better with their ideas!

i really dont like it tht much because its the same thing and nothing is diffrent. And the only thing tht is different is tht lady standing there and the stores tht is it. so i advise u not to go there because it gets really boring!

It feels so boring at Avatar Town… I thought you get to chat with other people by avatar appearance and you get to go to other places and you can have a dorm….but it was actually just malls and you and her….

i think in avatar town u should be able to chat with friends of yours and go to malls for eating and buying clothes. i think u should also be able to take a stroll in a park and stuff. it would probably be fun to watch movies and maybe drive a car or a motorcycle. I t is pretty boring so i think all this stuff would be great.
