Well let me make something very clear for all of you that are here complaing about "bots" or "booters"

1. not all the bots are from people booting the rooms.
2. the porn bots you see pay yahoo to do that so of course they will bypass anything yahoo puts on..
3. paid bots dont get disconnected even if a booter trys to exploit the bot they dont get booted.(this should also show you theres yahoo at play)
4.minors arent allowed into chat anymore so now its an adult playground if your under 18 to damn bad get over it.
5. there will always be booters there has been since yahoo started there will always be from now untill the end of yahoo Get use to it.
6. theres many ways to just ignore the bots and boots learn about 3rd party clients

and finally my last words
if you spend that much time in yahoo chat that your upset with the way its done...maybe its about time you get off ya lazy butt and get on with your life

wow, I cannot believe that yahoo still hasnt figured out how to keep the bots out. and yet you call yourselves a dot com company. why is it so tough to implement anti bot questions

1. have math questions, as captcha doesnt seem to work for you
2. implement random auth checks like sending a particular set of characters to yahoo server for auth
3. how about community filtering? have a report bot option and if an id is reported more than a pre set instance, then ban that ID is banned.

come on guys, I am sure it should be a piece of cake to implement some new stragety to get rid of bots.

Why don't Yahoo just do us all a favor and close the chat rooms and put them out of their misery?
Or Yahoo has a contract with the x rated industry to provide a platform for free pornographic advertising?
There is no one else in the chat rooms but bots, young scamers and old perverts...
The captcha is just a great nuisance...and an absolute flop.
Nice going....

The bots are back again. pity that Yahoo is not seeing all these. is it because of the MS takeover threat that yahoo has left their chat room like that ?

Oh do I remember the days of Yahoo Chat when one could join user created rooms and chat with free speech unaware of the future in which bots created by man would soon take over. Though things where ran differently back in the day too. If I remember correctly there used to be live techs in the official rooms watching for bots. Maybe they'll think of the old days. *shrugs shoulders*

Currently I can't get into chat at all because the captcha code box appears with nothing in it no matter what client I use including Yahoo messenger. Wots the point?

The bots are back and have been from the first week - captcha code is now being used to lock real people out.
