Kudos to the Messenger staff there. What a great improvement! Talking with real people….sweet! No bots….sweet! The captcha solution is a stroke of genius.

ok u have fixed some but there has to be a better answer….to have 100 rooms u cant enter is stupid….to make us fill a room to 50 people before u can join the next room on the list is also stupid…..u try and get 50 people in a room and on mic at the same time doesnt sound enjoyable to me……how bout we enter what room we like and enter yer code…wont that work….its been fun meeting new people but the fun is wearing thin……fix it….its what the people want…you remember the people dont ya….. u should im sure your sales team im sure have told u alllllll about them

I was just pointing out that those who think booters are so distraught right now are sadly mistaken. They’ll probably find out how wrong they are before too long.

I prefer to take glee in knowing that the porn bot-meisters have no way to advertise their sleezy cam and “dating” sites. Wish I could hear all the wailing and gnashing of teeth.

I never thought your team would actually *implement* my idea for a second-stage authentication procedure using a Kaptcha. It was meant as an ironic joke… but I am glad your team listened! I haven’t seen a single bot all day, nor have I received a single bot IM today, and there is every indication that all is quiet on the Western Front once more.

This is quite a result, isn’t it?

The booter problem was the lesser problem of the two. The spam bots were preventing everyone from chatting. Booters prevent a handful from chatting.

The bots are gone. Wow. This is weird.

Captcha’s are always annoying.. but bots are 1,000x more annoying. Looks like it’s working. I’m glad you did it on the room join and not the login. Hopefully, you will integrate the captcha inside Messenger as part of the program interface to make it smoother to enter.

I bet the bot owners are crapping in their pants right now. No more money from spamming chat.

Oy Vey. So many of you still think captcha ends booting. It doesn’t. All it does is prevent bots from entering rooms.
