The novelty of 3 wore off about 20 seconds after they came out, pretty much like Yahoo!

Karl, this is my point, i’m not sure who the 3.9m users are, maybe they count sim cards, 3.8m of them are probably used for prank calls!
I mean, 3 is an obvious choice for Yahoo!, do you think Vodafone or Orange would associate themselves with the crap Yahoo! produce??

Yeah, brilliant, except if you read the smallprint, YIM on 3 only works on 3 of their handsets. My nice internet-ready N80ie? Nope. Same thing with Windows Live messenger on 3. Or Yahoo Go! Three won’t let me download Yahoo GO, “unavailable for your handset”, yet I can download it directly from the Yahoo site and it works perfectly.
WHY are Three limiting handsets like this? I would assume that Yahoo is supplying the software to them in the first place, and I would assume that, as a Java app, it would work on most modern phones. Three are frustrating beyond belief in this regard – although I think their X-Series is brilliant, a satisfied customer in that regard.
